What does the healing process look like?Healing occurs gradually and smoothly. Within the first 3 days, the color will be more intense. On the 4th day, almost all of our clients notice only a gentle peeling. Very rarely do any of our clients have scabs and some just notice the pigment color gradually lightening. Within days, you will be able to see the final color, which in some cases, may present a loss of up to 50% of the pigment, however, results vary from person to person. These changes occur due to a significant increase in collagen and elastin production in the area. The outer layer of the skin heals within 5 to 7 days. The inner layers of the skin take longer, sometimes up to 45 days or more depending on the client's age and metabolism, however healing is not externally visible.
-
How do I maintain my new microbladed brows? We recommend yearly touch-up, to maintain the crispness and freshness of the color. Natural fading occurs from external factors such as exposure to the sun as well as internal factors such as the gradual break down of pigments as your body metabolizes it out of your system. Everyone can experience the fading process differently and it really comes down to skin type, person and lifestyle.
-
Who is microblading for?Microblading is an ideal solution for clients who have patchy, thin, or uneven eyebrows and are looking for the most natural looking results. However, not everyone is a candidate for microblading and there are different elements to consider such as skin condition and health. Microblading is most suitable for clients with normal skin and small pores. Oil in the skin can cause the Microblading hair-stroke to expand and blur so the less oily the client skin is, the better the result would be. At MLA, we have very strict guidelines that we follow to decide who is a good candidate for microblading and who should avoid microblading.
-
Do I get instructions to take home?Yes. You will have everything you need for your aftercare with you after the session.
-
ContraindicationsAs much as microblading is a safe and effective technique, it is not recommended for: Expectant mothers Women who are breastfeeding People with uncontrolled diabetes Important Note: If you have any questions we recommend seeing your doctor to make sure that the procedure can be performed safely.
-
How many sessions do I need for a new set of microbladed eyebrows?A new set of Microbladed eyebrows takes two appointments to complete. The technique and art of microblading is very delicate and for this reason it needs two visits to ensure that all the strokes are evenly saturated with pigment. The second appointment is called a complementary touchup and takes place 6 to 8 weeks after the initial appointment after the pigments settled into the skin. In this complementary touchup, the artist makes any needed adjustments and ensures each hair-stroke has even color.
-
What are the benefits of microblading?Eyebrows play an extremely important role in harmonizing our faces and affect how people see and feel about us. The wrong shape can make you look tired, angry, or older than you are. The right eyebrow shape can help accentuate the eyes, shape the face, and can even make you look more youthful-- it’s no wonder we are all obsessed with them. Unfortunately, most of us are not born with perfectly manicured brows and some have health conditions, like alopecia, which make it impossible to have full, structured brows. The amount of time spent creating our desired shape in the morning can be as long as 15 minutes, and as we all know, only to get smeared, washed, or sweated off later in the day, and be repeated again the next morning. Every. Single. Day. That’s why a lot of people choose microblading, it saves time, money, and eliminates the inconvenience of having to repeat all of these steps every day. Not to mention--a true artist can make you look like you were born with them.

Microblading men: commonly known as the 'Bro Brow' or 'Guy Brows'Men, just like women, can lose their brows over time. Microblading is beneficial for men that have sparse eyebrows, missing eyebrow hair, or asymmetries that need corrective balancing. The approach to men’s eyebrows is different in that men prefer less arching, a fuller look, and more ‘irregularity’ to create the illusion of full ‘manscaped’ or natural eyebrows and undetectability of art. With microblading, pigment is implanted just below the epidermis (the most shallow part of the dermis.) Each hair stroke is delicately drawn with a hand-held tool, also known as Tebori, mimicking the color and the thickness of your existing hair, while balancing your facial features. Important Note: in the United States, from the Health Department’s standpoint, all cosmetic tattoo treatments are considered ‘permanent.’ Microblading is safe for men who have scars, hair loss due to hormonal problems, stress, natural aging, or even cases of alopecia. The longevity of the pigment is, on average, 8 to 18 months, depending on the type of skin, the client's metabolism, and proper care. Because our technique is very delicate, most of the time, there's no immediate to little redness in the area, making it possible to see the quality results right after the procedure.
-
How is microblading is done? Each new hair stroke that is drawn by the artist meant to simulate the client natural eyebrows hair and seamlessly blend it with the client existing brows to add color and fullness resulting in a very natural look. Our microblading process ensures that we design a customized shape, look, and feel that complements your face and your personality. The results will be gorgeous yet undetectable.
-
What is your method for microblading?A lot of care goes into finding the perfect eyebrow shape. It’s the longest part of the microblading procedure. Our goal is to provide harmony to your face, creating the most natural brow and shape possible. Focus is on creating a shape that is capable of highlighting your best features while correcting asymmetries in your brows and balancing the proportions. You can feel comfortable knowing you are involved in the entire process, from measurements to discussing preferences, observing changes as they materialize. While creating the perfect shape, we also apply make-up artistry principles. These techniques aim to bring harmony to your facial features while enhancing your beauty and staying true to your identity. Other factors such as your lifestyle, personality, facial treatment routine, use of rejuvenating creams, and tonality of your skin and eyes are also taken into consideration. To help reduce discomfort, we apply an anesthetic cream before the procedure, which typically lasts from 60 to 90 minutes. Since our technique is very delicate, clients tend to have low amounts of swelling and redness in the area and quality results can be seen shortly after the procedure. Afterward, to further promote healing, we use a high-tech, low-intensity laser on the procedural area. Pro Tip: Be very careful hiring professionals that use the same stencils for everyone’s face, or that try to change your brow shape or arch dramatically. An ethical and caring professional will stay true to your natural features and hair growth, and make the procedure as painless as possible. Take your time in choosing the right artist for you.

What is microblading?Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique used to create the illusion of fuller brows. Microblading is a form of a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup performed using, a manual (not a machine) disposable handheld tool, composed with very fine needles resembling the shape of a blade (we call it a microblade), to hand draw each individual hair and simultaneously implant the pigment into the skin.
-
How long does microblading last?On average dermopigmentation lasts from 8 to 24 months, depending on the type of skin, metabolism, and habits of the client. After the initial healing period has passed, together we can compare your results and decide if a touch-up is needed to achieve your desired look. When necessary, touch-ups can be done after the healing process is complete, which can take from 4 to 6 weeks. To further extend your eyebrows’ longevity, we use the best and most advanced products and equipment. Aftercare instructions must be followed to achieve maximum results. See aftercare instructions here

-
Are lash lift and lash lamination the same? There was once an "average lash lift" which curled the natural lashes purely for appearance. It was an eyelash perm, just like the ones you do to curl your hair, but with far more delicate chemicals appropriate for use around the eyes. Then came the famous "lamination," and for years, the eyelash industry has used this term to indicate the treatment that, in addition to curling the lashes, was able to thicken them. There were no longer only aesthetic purposes, but there was talk of healing purposes, which could repair even the thinnest and most damaged eyelashes. The sore point was the effectiveness of the treatment, as the thickening was always only presumed. Our top of the line Italian "Bump-Up" treatment was the first brand globally able to scientifically demonstrate an average thickening of 24% after a cycle of 3 treatments. Lash Bump-Up is, therefore, an eyelash lamination, but with the evidence to back it up. Our Lash Bump-Up is the first to guarantee a result that all the others only promised - a real breakthrough in the industry!
-
Are Lash Bump-Up results immediate? The curling result is visible from the first treatment. As for the thickening of the hair, you can notice a slight increase in the diameter of your eyelashes after the first session. Still, it is advisable to complete at least a course of three treatments for a visible difference.
-
What should I do to preserve the result?Immediately after performing the treatment, it is advisable not to wet the eyes for about 24 hours. The nourishing Filler applied as the last step settles well inside the lashes, carrying out its nourishing action. It is not recommended to use aggressive makeup removers or poor cosmetics that could weigh down and ruin the eyelashes in the following weeks. We have a number of recommended cleansers and mascaras that will preserve the integrity of the treatment. You can purchase these directly from us if you would like.
-
How much does the Lash Bump-Up lash filler lamination cost?A treatment is $120, we also offer package deal for the 3 sessions over a 3 month period. We always advise being wary of those who work at home at low prices, perhaps without a certificate. Eye health is at stake, so we recommend that you only rely on experienced operators.
-
Can I wear make-up after the Brow Bump-up?This treatment will give you a natural look that doesn't need makeup. However, if you want to wear makeup, it will enhance the look making it bolder. If you're going to keep the result of the Lash Filler for a long time, however, it is recommended to use very delicate products that do not dry out the lashes or weigh them down. The best aftercare we recommend for this specific treatment are: InLei® Frida Mascara: Frida is a delicate mascara that gives an intense look without damaging your lashes. The Keratrix system strengthens and elasticizes your lash structure. It is designed to be compatible with eyelash extensions. InLei® Fashion Lash: This transparent fixing gel helps to align lashes and creates a protective film against external agents. Lashes look shiny and healthy due to the "luminescent" ingredient extracted from the Mullein flower. This ingredient reflects natural light for an unprecedented shine. InLei® Cleansing Foam: a soft foam that cleanses your face without damaging hair. It comes in three fragrances: Aloe, Avena, or Rose.
-
What are the contraindications of lamination?Lash Filler in itself is not a dangerous treatment, but there are some cases in which it is not recommended because unexpected reactions could occur, for example: if you have recently undergone surgery if you have recently performed a permanent tattoo in the eye area (eyebrows, eyeliner ..) if you are following special treatments and your immune system is very weak if you suffer from claustrophobia or epilepsy if you have particular bumps in the eye area if you are pregnant or breastfeeding if you are not in a good state of health If you have another medical condition which you might not be sure about, its best to first get your doctor's clearance before receiving any type of treatment.
-
How long does this treatment last for, and how often can I get it done? This treatment lasts the complete cycle of the natural eyelash, which is anywhere from 4-8 weeks . Eyelashes grow and naturally fall out in a lash cycle every 2-3 months. Normally around week 3-4, you may notice new straight lashes growing in among the previously lifted lashes. Then your mascara will tuck the straight lashes up with the already lifted ones but you may want to consider booking another treatment in the coming weeks. Most of our clients come back for their Lash Lift between every 4-8 weeks. It is safe to do maintain after 4 weeks.
